This system, called Nike + iPod, is designed so that while the user is walking or jogging, the sensor detects the feet’s movement and sends this information to the receiver. The distance walked, as well as the pace, time and calories burned are all noted by the iPod; the data obtained can be uploaded to the Nike + iPod website. Users can use the software available on the website to tailor their workouts to their preference.  

At first glance, Nike + iPod is a nifty gadget. But then, it can very well serve as a tracking device; a tracking device that will inform consumers that there really are products that can lend themselves susceptible to evil intentions.
